✅INGREDIENTS:


Doug:

farinha de arroz2 cups all-purpose flour

  • azeite1/4 cup vegetable oil


salA pinch of salt

águaWater, as needed


Filling:


batata2 medium potatoes, boiled and chopped

gengibre1 teaspoon grated ginger

cominho em pó1 teaspoon cumin seeds

alho1 teaspoon chopped garlic

pimenta vermelha1 teaspoon red chili powder

açafrão1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder

cominho em pó1 teaspoon cumin powder

coentro1 teaspoon coriander powder

salSalt to taste

  • azeiteOil for frying



✅INTRUCTIONS:


1-Dough Preparation

1.1- Mix the flour, salt, and oil in a bowl

azeite1/4 cup vegetable oil

1.2- Add water gradually and knead into a firm dough

águaWater, as needed

CCover the dough with a damp cloth and set aside


2- Filling Preparation


2.1- Heat a little oil in a pan

azeiteOil

2.2- Add cumin, ginger, and garlic. Sauté until fragrant

alho1 teaspoon chopped garlic

2.3- Add the boiled potatoes, peas, and all the spices. Cook for a few minutes

batata2 medium potatoes, boiled and chopped +coentro1 teaspoon coriander powder

pimenta vermelha1 teaspoon red chili powder +açafrão1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder

cominho em pó1 teaspoon cumin powder + salSalt to taste

2.4- Slightly mash the potatoes while mixing well with the spices. The filling is ready. Let it cool


3- Assembling the Samosas :

3.1-Divide the dough into small balls and roll each ball into a thin circle

3.2-Cut each circle in half to get two semicircles

3.3- Fold each semicircle into a cone shape and seal the edges with a little water

3.4- Fill the cone with the potato filling

3.5- Fold the open end of the cone over the filling to form a triangle, press the edges to seal it well .


4- Frying :

4.1- Heat oil in a deep pan, making sure it's very hot

4.2- Fry the samosas until they are golden and crispy

4.3- Drain the excess oil on paper towels


Serve hot with chutney or sauce of your choice!
